These Terms of Service apply to your use of samivacationstays.com and to any stays, experiences or services provided or arranged by Sami Vacation Stays (“we,” “our,” “us”).
By using this website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a reservation, accessing a guest account, receiving an invoice, making a payment or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Our Services
Sami Vacation Stays provides personally hosted stays in Panama. We welcome small groups of guests who share selected accommodations and local experiences, so that each traveler pays for what they actually use rather than for services they don’t need.
Depending on the booking, we may act as host, service provider, booking coordinator, guest support contact, or intermediary between guests and property owners, transportation providers, tour providers or other third parties.
What is included in your stay, and what is optional or charged separately, is set out in your written reservation confirmation or invoice. Website descriptions are general and do not replace it.
2. Website Use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not misuse the website, submit false information, attempt to access another guest’s account, interfere with website security, copy our content without permission, or use our website or services for fraud, spam or illegal activity.
3. Reservations, Invoices and Payments
Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee availability. A reservation is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Guests are responsible for reviewing dates, prices, guest count, inclusions, payment deadlines, cancellation terms and property rules before paying.
If a payment is declined, incomplete, late, reversed, disputed, charged back or flagged as suspicious, we may cancel, suspend or refuse the reservation, invoice, voucher, guest account or related service.
4. Shared Stays and Group Experiences
Because our stays are built around small groups, you may share accommodation, common areas or activities with other guests. By booking, you agree to:
- respect the property, the neighborhood, our hosts and other guests, including quiet hours and shared spaces;
- follow the house rules provided before or during your stay;
- tell us in advance about the number of guests, children, accessibility needs, allergies, dietary requirements or other needs that affect your stay.
Room and bed arrangements are described in your confirmation. We may make reasonable adjustments, such as moving guests between rooms or to a comparable property, where needed for safety, maintenance or group size.
We may ask a guest to leave, without refund, if their behavior is unsafe, abusive, unlawful or seriously disrupts other guests, hosts or neighbors.
If a stay depends on a minimum group size and it is not reached, we will tell you as early as possible and offer a change of dates, a credit or a refund of amounts paid to us.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation terms vary by property, host, season, length of stay, promotion or third-party service. The policy shown in your reservation confirmation, invoice, payment page or written communication from us applies to your specific booking.
Unless stated otherwise in writing, late cancellations, no-shows, early departures, gift vouchers, payment processing fees, bank fees, service fees and costs already paid or committed to third parties may be non-refundable.
6. Guest Responsibilities and Travel Insurance
Guests are responsible for providing accurate information, following Panama’s laws, checking passports, visas and entry requirements, supervising children and vulnerable guests, securing personal belongings, and telling us about any issue during the stay so we have a chance to fix it.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including medical and emergency evacuation coverage, for every guest. Panama does not require it for entry, but private hospital treatment requires upfront payment, and evacuation from remote areas can be very costly. Travel insurance is your own responsibility and is arranged directly between you and an insurer.
We may share general travel information, but it is not legal, immigration, medical, customs, tax, insurance or government advice.
7. Third-Party Services
We may recommend or help arrange third-party services such as transportation, tours, activities, guides, restaurants or wellness services. Third-party providers are independent and have their own prices, rules, cancellation policies, safety standards and liability limits.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, injuries, losses, cancellations or service failures of third-party providers, except where required by law.
You take part in physical or outdoor activities (hiking, boat trips, swimming, diving and similar) at your own risk, within your own abilities, and should follow the instructions of the guides and operators.
8. Affiliate Links and Partners
Some links on our website, including our travel insurance page, are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. If you buy insurance through a partner such as HelloSafe, your contract is with the insurer and the purchase is subject to the partner’s own terms. We are not an insurer, broker or insurance advisor. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
9. Community and Charitable Giving
Part of our success is shared with local charitable initiatives. This is a voluntary commitment by Sami Vacation Stays. Unless we state otherwise in writing, it is not a donation made by you, it does not create any charitable receipt or tax benefit for you, and it does not change the price of your stay. The amounts and recipients may change over time. See our Giving Back page.
10. Website Content
We try to keep website information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all descriptions, photos, prices, availability, amenities, inclusions, travel information or recommendations are complete, current or error-free. If website content conflicts with your written reservation confirmation, the confirmation controls.
11. Photos, Reviews and Testimonials
If you send us a review, testimonial or photo, you allow us to use it on our website and social media, with your first name and country or region only unless you tell us otherwise. You can ask us to remove it at any time. We will not publish photos of you or your group without your permission.
12. Intellectual Property
All website content, text, images, designs, graphics, logos, guides and branding belong to Sami Vacation Stays or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, modify, distribute or use them commercially without written permission.
13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The website and its content are provided for general information and service access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, emotional, punitive or consequential damages, including losses caused by travel delays, weather, third-party providers, other guests, personal decisions or events outside our reasonable control.
Our total liability for a confirmed service will not exceed the amount paid to us for that specific service, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Privacy
Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, unless another mandatory law applies. Both parties agree to try to resolve any issue in good faith through direct communication before starting a formal dispute.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes do not affect confirmed bookings, which remain under the terms in force when you booked.
